We're extremely excited about our first shows in South America. We'll be playing one show in Belo Horizonte, Brazil (Aug 30) and another in Lima, Peru (Sep 5). If you're in the area - please come! On September 20th we travel to Champaign, IL, the hometown of our new record label - POLYVINYL RECORDS! - for the Pygmalion Festival. We'll be playing at the Canopy Club with Headlights and The M's. Hope to see some familiar faces there.
We'll also be announcing U.S. fall tour dates very soon. And the new record is almost finished! We can't wait for you to hear it. More on that very soon. Hope you're having a wonderful summer.

Our new home -- Polyvinyl Record Co.
We are very happy to announce that Asobi Seksu will be releasing its future recordings on the amazing label, Polyvinyl. They have been putting out great music for a lot of years now and we are very proud to be working with such fine people. If for some reason you are not familiar with Polyvinyl, get familiar.
We are finishing up a bunch of new songs for the next record and the plan is to hit the studio in June to record them. We will be going back to Europe this summer for some festivals...and we promise a lot of US touring this fall and next year. We can't wait to see everyone. More details soon!

The "Strawberries" single is out now in the UK. There are some really great remixes on their by CSS, Ulrich Schnauss, and The Whip. We are so happy to have such great artists involved with our music. Thanks to them for doing such a bang up job. The single, from our album Citrus, comes in three different formats and is available on two red vinyl 7"s - the first comes in a gatefold sleeve that the second 7" will fit snuggly into. You can also purchase the songs on cd or as digital files. Take your pick! You can buy all this stuff at these fine establishments: Amazon, Play, HMV, iTunes, Wippit and emusic. Back to School
We hope that everyone is enjoying the end of their summer vacation. We had a great summer of touring and traveling the world. This summer found us touring Europe, Japan, and Taiwan for the first time. Thanks to everyone who came out to those shows. It was an amazing time! Pictures from Japan will be posted shortly.
Also, looks like fall is just around the corner which can only mean one thing for us: MORE TOURING! October and November will find us back in Europe, so please check our tour page for updates. See you there!

Citrus released in the UK today!
We are extremely happy to inform you that Citrus has been released today in the UK via One Little Indian Records. You can visit their One Little Shop to pick up your copy of the album, as well as our debut album's UK release and singles from both albums.
Our European summer tour was so much fun. Thanks again to everyone for coming out to see our first ever shows over there. We also had an amazing time in Japan and Taiwan and look forward to going back there very soon.
We are back in New York working on new material for the next record and getting ready for our fall European tour...those dates will be posted later this week. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Hello everyone! We apologize for the break. We actually have a lot to fill you in on. It will be an asobi seksu summer of firsts...
This summer we will be going on our first ever European tour. We will also be going to Japan for the first time in July! Please check our tour page for more info. We are finally home after a very long tour. Thanks to Mates of State for having us along. We heart Mates of State! Stay tuned for a great video clip from our tour together. It is so nice to be home! Thanks to all of you who came out to our shows. You guys made this tour a great success! And we'll be doing it all over again in a matter of days....Check our shows page for dates. We're excited to be playing with Mates of State, The Wrens, and Tokyo Police Club on this upcoming tour. No shows scheduled for a while in NYC, but we'll be playing a free show at the Apple Store in SOHO on Wednesday November 1st at 2pm. Pitchfork Surprise! We actually got a great review on Pitchfork! 8.3 and a "Recommended." Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows this past week. New Haven and Boston were awesome, but thanks especially to our hometown of NYC for showing us love and support. It really means a lot to us! We will posting some new summer dates soon so stay tuned!
